Launch SEO checklist for free tool sites

Shipping a tool site is not only about the UI. Search engines need clear intent pages, fast HTML, and honest metadata before you expect traffic.

Before launch

  1. Static HTML for every tool, variant, and guide URL you care about.
  2. Sitemap + robots.txt pointing at production domain (NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL).
  3. Canonical tags on tools, variants, guides, and blog posts.
  4. FAQ schema on tool and guide pages with real questions—not filler.
  5. Internal links: category hubs → tools → related tools → guides.

Positioning that converts

If you use templates instead of live LLM APIs, say so in titles and body copy. “Privacy-friendly” and “runs in your browser” are strengths—not weaknesses.

After launch (growth)

  • Submit sitemap in Google Search Console.
  • Publish 2–4 guides per week for your highest-intent clusters.
  • Pitch “free tool” directories and newsletter roundups—backlinks matter more than keyword stuffing.

Toolminator follows this playbook: guides at /guides/, tools at /tools/, static export for CDN hosting.
